Bank of Japan Governor Ueda, fin min Katayama, eco min Kiuchi to meet today
Japanese media, Jiji, is reporting that Bank of Japan Governor Ueda, Japanese Finance Minister Katayama, and Japanese Economy Minister Kiuchi will be having a meeting today, Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Katayama is then expected to speak to media at 0930 GMT.

The back drop to this is the proposals for further fiscal stimulus in Japan, which’ll further increase debt in the country; rising JGB yields; a weak and weakening yen; and, if PM Takaicihi gets her way, unchanged interest rates from the Bank of Japan in order to provide monetary stimulus also.
